Over the years, journalists from around the world have reached out, asking me to revisit that September morning and the life that followed.

Only now am I beginning to recognize that there is room for my voice, too—to speak about how the experience affected me personally, what I have carried, and what I am still coming to understand.

I share these reflections in remembrance of those we lost, and with care for everyone whose life was changed that day.
